Fall 2011 Schedule
- Mondays, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM --- Beginning Strings Group Lesson
- Mondays, 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM --- Intermediate Strings Group Lesson
- Mondays, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM --- Beginning Acoustic Guitar Group Lesson
- Lessons will begin Monday, September 12
- The final lessons for 2011 will be held on Monday, December 12
- Lessons will NOT be held on Mondays, September 19, November 14 and December 5.

- The CBC School of Music is open to CBC members, non-members and the community at large
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to unpack and warm up
- Please do not linger in the building following lessons
- Please use the restroom prior to class and be diligent for the hour
- Plan to practice at home at least 5 days a week
- Parents may remain in the room for the lesson, but we do ask that siblings not be present so as to minimize distractions. The World Missions Café will be available to families who choose to wait during the lessons, as well as a few nearby classrooms. Please remain quiet in the hallways and the Café.
- Make-Up Lessons
- For group lessons, no make-up lessons will be available.
- If you know you will miss a lesson or two that month, pay for less.
- If you miss a lesson due to illness, your prior payment may be credited to the following month. Please remain at home and rest if you are ill.
- For private lessons, make up lessons are at the discretion of the instructor
- Please pay at the first lesson of the month, for the number of lessons that month
- Checks made payable to David Kimbell
- Fee is $10 per student per week
- Fee is discounted 20% to $8.00 per student per week for any siblings after the first student. (i.e., 2 students in one family -- total would be $18 per week)
Strings ‘N Things
- Located inside ArtWorks in the Kmart/BiLo center in Beaufort.
- 843-524-6344 (closed Sundays & Mondays.)
- Their rental program is through Portman’s Music in Savannah, GA and they also sell instruments.
- Rental fees range from $27/month for violins/violas to $45/month for cello.
- Rental fees may be applied to future purchase.

- Strings & Things does not rent guitars but they do sell them.
BooksKnapp Music and Shar Music also provide rentals and accessories. Find them online at knappmusic.com and sharmusic.comBe sure to have a shoulder rest, rosin, guitar pick, pencil, etc.
- Beginning Strings students need “All for Strings, Volume 1” by Robert Frost & Gerald Anderson (please purchase the book appropriate for your instrument online or through Strings & Things)
- Intermediate Strings students need “All for Strings, Volume 2” by Robert Frost & Gerald Anderson (please purchase the book appropriate for your instrument online or through Strings & Things)
- Beginning Guitar students need to bring a 3-ring binder and Mr. Kimbell will provide the pages.
